If you're selling an iPad
Model, storage & connectivity
Settings → General → About shows the model, storage, and whether it's Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + Cellular. Cellular iPads carry a slightly higher payout.
Battery health
The team runs a quick battery diagnostic at the counter. Heavy wear lowers the offer but doesn't disqualify the device.
Screen & body condition
Cracks, dead pixels, bent corners, and dents are noted. Cracked screens still get a quote. Broken iPads are welcome.
Activation Lock & Find My
iCloud must be signed out and Find My must be off. Activation-locked iPads can't be processed until the original Apple ID releases them.
If you're selling a Galaxy Tab, Surface, or other tablet
Brand, model & specs
Settings → About tablet (Android) or Settings → System → About (Windows) shows the model and storage. The team verifies via serial number.
Screen, body & ports
Cracks, dead pixels, frame damage, USB-C and charging-port function, plus any stylus dock or keyboard connection points.
Account sign-out
Samsung account, Google account, or Microsoft account, depending on the device. All accounts should be signed out so the device can be wiped at the counter.
FRP & reactivation locks
Factory Reset Protection on Android and reactivation locks on Surface need to be cleared. Bring the password for the primary account just in case.

Back up your data
Settings → your name → iCloud → iCloud Backup, or plug into a Mac/PC. The team will wipe the iPad on-site.

Sign out of iCloud & turn off Find My
Settings → your name → Sign Out. This disables Find My and Activation Lock and lets the team complete the wipe.

Remove your SIM (cellular models)
Pop the physical SIM tray, or for eSIM: Settings → Cellular → remove the active plan. Keeps your line and number with you.

Do you take both iPads and Android or Surface tablets?

Do you buy broken tablets?
Yes. Cracked screens, dead batteries, won't power on, liquid damage, broken charging ports, dead pixels. All of these still get a quote. Broken-device quotes happen in person after a quick test at the counter.
Will you buy an iPad with Activation Lock or Find My still on?
No. The original Apple ID must be signed out and Find My must be turned off before the iPad can be processed. The team can walk you through it at the counter if you have your Apple ID password.
What about Factory Reset Protection on Android or a locked Surface?
Same rule applies. Sign out of the Google account (Android) or Microsoft account (Surface) before bringing it in, or have your password ready so the team can sign out at the counter.
Does cellular vs Wi-Fi-only matter for the price?
Yes for iPads. Cellular models typically carry a slightly higher payout than Wi-Fi-only. The difference is smaller for Galaxy Tab and Surface devices, where Wi-Fi-only versions dominate the market.
Do the Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard, or S Pen add value?
For tablets specifically, original accessories can add to the offer. Apple Pencil 2 or Pencil Pro, Magic Keyboard, Smart Folio, Samsung S Pen, and Surface Type Cover all help. Bring them if you have them.
