Sell Your Power Tools
for Cash in Ft. Lauderdale.
Bring DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Ryobi, Bosch, or Ridgid cordless and corded tools to Techy on SW 4th Ave. Battery health is tested in-store, with a callback offer the same day.
What you can sell in the power tools category
Cordless and corded tools from the brand platforms that hold real resale value. Working tools with normal job site wear are welcome. Tools that won't power on, have cracked housings, or have rattling internals are not accepted.
Cordless drill drivers, impact drivers, and rotary hammers
Brushless drill drivers and impacts hold the strongest resale across every major platform.
Circular and miter saws, grinders, and woodworking tools
Both cordless and corded. Table saws, miter saws, and routers are weighed and inspected for blade and base condition.
Framing nailers, batteries, chargers, and corded gear
Nailers and pneumatic tools carry strong resale. Batteries are tested under load before any kit pricing is finalized.
What the team checks on your tools
Same bench check runs on every tool, battery, and kit before an offer is made.
Model, platform & year
Tool model and SKU confirmed against the spec plate. Battery platform identified (DeWalt 20V Max vs Flexvolt 60V, Milwaukee M18 vs M12, Makita LXT 18V vs XGT 40V Max). One-Key and TrackOn-equipped Milwaukee tools cross-checked against the registration database where applicable.
Battery health under load
Every battery is voltage-checked at rest and tested under a load draw. Pack capacity is compared to the printed Ah rating. Swollen cells, bulging cases, or batteries that drop voltage fast under load reduce kit pricing. Authentic OEM batteries only; counterfeit packs are declined.
Motor, chuck & trigger feel
Brushless motors run smoothly through speed ranges. Brushed motors checked for excessive arcing and worn carbon brushes. Drill chucks tighten and release cleanly. Impact mechanisms hammer at speed. Trigger variable speed feels linear with no dead spots.
Blade, base, and accessory condition
Circular saw shoes flat and square. Miter saw fences and bevel detents lock. Grinder guards and locks intact. Original chargers, side handles, and depth gauges included. Sticker condition noted on collectible older releases.
Before you bring your tools in
A little prep keeps the bench check moving.
Bring every battery you have
Even dead ones. Packout batteries and high-capacity packs (Milwaukee Forge, DeWalt Flexvolt, Makita XGT 40V) carry significant value on their own. Two batteries plus a charger turns a bare tool into a kit and bumps the offer.
Wipe the tools down
Quick wipe with a clean rag knocks off sawdust, drywall dust, and adhesive residue. A clean tool reads as cared-for and bumps the offer. Skip the harsh cleaners; just remove loose debris.
Gather original kit boxes and chargers
Original blow-mold cases (TSTAK, Packout, MAKPAC), chargers, side handles, depth rods, and any included accessories. Branded systainers carry their own resale and stack the price up.
Bring your ID
Government-issued photo ID is required for any resale transaction in Florida. Driver's license, state ID, or passport works. Original receipts or contractor invoices are nice but not required.
How it works
Three steps from drop-off to same-day Zelle or CashApp.
Bring your tools in
Cordless drills, impacts, saws, grinders, full kits, loose batteries, the whole tool box. Drop in at 3000 SW 4th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315, across from Snyder Park. Free parking. Photo ID required.
Bench check and load test
Each tool is run through its speed range. Brushless motors cycled clean, brushed motors checked for brush wear and arcing. Batteries pulled onto the tester for voltage at rest and capacity under load. Chargers verified to detect and step packs through a charge cycle.
Same-day callback with the offer
Drop the tools off and the team will call you with the offer the same day if you arrive before 4pm. Accept by phone and payment hits Zelle or CashApp. Decline and you can pick everything back up the next business day.
Retiring from the trade, closing a shop, or sorting an estate?
A finish carpenter winding down, a remodeling crew selling unused platform overflow, or the family sorting through a contractor's tools. The team can accommodate larger lots. Call ahead to coordinate.
Sell a contractor kit, jobsite overflow, or full shop
Retiring tradespeople, crews consolidating duplicate platforms after a merger, shop closures with corded gear and a wall of batteries. 15 plus tools or three plus full kits calls for a coordinated visit.
Tradespeople retiring or downsizing
Electricians, carpenters, plumbers, and HVAC pros stepping away from the trade. Bring the truck box plus the basement shelf inventory. Older corded staples, paired-up cordless platforms, and the binder of receipts if you still have it.
Crew & shop platform swaps
Crews moving from Milwaukee to DeWalt (or the other way), GC outfits standardizing on a single battery system, cabinet shops cycling out older woodworking gear. Mixed-brand handoffs are fine.
Estate & inherited tools
Inherited contractor tools, retired remodeler benches, garage shops sold during a property cleanout. Sorted by working vs parts-only, with batteries tested individually before any kit pricing is finalized.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about selling cordless tools, batteries, and corded gear in Ft. Lauderdale.
What brands of power tools do you buy?
DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Ryobi, Bosch, Ridgid, Festool, Hilti, Metabo HPT, Hitachi, Skilsaw, Senco, Paslode, and Bostitch. Older Porter-Cable, Craftsman Pro, and pro-line Black and Decker still get offers on the right tools. The team focuses on cordless platforms and pneumatic gear with active resale demand.
Does battery health matter on a kit price?
A lot. Every pack is voltage-checked at rest and tested under a load draw. A 5Ah pack that holds full voltage under load prices like a 5Ah pack. One that drops voltage fast or won't take a charge prices low or zero. Bring all batteries you have. Even one strong pack alongside a weaker one bumps the offer.
Do you buy bare tools (no battery, no charger)?
Yes. Bare cordless tools sell well, especially Milwaukee FUEL, DeWalt Atomic and XR, and Makita LXT and XGT. Bare prices come in lower than kit prices. If you have a battery and charger on another tool, bringing them along may push the bare tool into kit pricing for the combined transaction.
What about Harbor Freight tools (Bauer, Hercules, Atlas, Warrior)?
Limited interest. Bauer 20V and Hercules carry some resale on specialty tools (rotary hammers, large grinders) but the bulk of HF cordless doesn't move in the secondhand market. Bring them and the team will take a look. Battery-only sales from the HF lineup are usually not viable.
Do you take corded power tools?
Yes. Corded SDS rotary hammers, table saws, miter saws, benchtop drill presses, dust extractors, pancake compressors, framing nailers, finish nailers, and routers. Bring the original cord intact; cut or repaired cords reduce or void an offer.
Do you authenticate batteries?
Yes. Counterfeit M18, DeWalt 20V, and Makita LXT packs flood online marketplaces. The team checks each battery for OEM cell layout, BMS chip presence, weight against spec, and label authenticity. Only authentic OEM packs are accepted; counterfeit packs are declined.
What condition do tools need to be in?
Working with normal job site wear. Scuffed housings, paint splatter, faded labels, scratched chucks, all fine. Tools that won't power on, have cracked cases that expose internals, broken triggers, snapped chucks, or motor smell when run, are not accepted.
Do you buy Festool, Hilti, and other premium platforms?
Yes. Festool TS 55, TS 75, Domino DF 500 and DF 700, CT dust extractors, Kapex miter saws. Hilti SF 6H, TE-Series rotary hammers, DX powder-actuated tools. Premium platforms hold value well. Original Systainers and storage cases are part of the offer.
How long does the appraisal take?
For a single tool with a battery and charger, the team can usually price it on the counter in 20 to 30 minutes. A truck box, a full crew kit, or a shop teardown goes on the drop-off track with a same-day callback if you arrive before 4pm. Each battery needs a few minutes for voltage and load testing.
Toolbox to cash, same-day.
Bring your drills, impacts, saws, or full kit plus a photo ID. Open Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6pm. Closed weekends.
