Model, storage tier & region

Boot test & disc drive
Console powers on, the system menu loads, and the internal storage reports clean. For consoles with optical drives, a test disc spins and reads. For VR headsets, the device boots into Horizon OS and the passthrough cameras come up.
Controllers & ports
Each controller is tested for stick drift, trigger response, and battery hold. HDMI and USB-C ports are checked for damage. Joy-Con drift is the most common find on older Switches; DualSense drift on early PS5 units.
Account sign-out & deactivation
PlayStation Network, Microsoft account, Nintendo account, or Meta account need to be signed out, and the console deactivated as your primary device. The team can walk you through it at the counter if needed.

Sign out & deactivate
PS5: Settings → Users and Accounts → Other → Console Sharing, then disable. Xbox: remove the console as your "home Xbox". Switch: Settings → User → unlink Nintendo Account. Meta Quest: factory reset clears the linked Meta account.

What about consoles missing the controller or cables?
Still buyable, just at a reduced offer. The team uses a shop controller and shop cables to test, then prices based on the missing pieces. Bring whatever cables and controllers you do have.
Do I need to factory reset the console before bringing it in?
Helpful but not required. The team runs a final wipe before resale. What matters is signing out of your PlayStation Network, Microsoft, Nintendo, or Meta account, and deactivating the console as your primary device so your library and saves aren't accessible to the next owner.
Do you take games and accessories separately?
Yes. Physical game library lots, extra DualSense and Xbox Wireless controllers, Switch Pro controllers, Joy-Cons, charging docks, Pulse 3D headsets, Xbox Stereo headsets. Game lots get an in-person quote since titles and condition vary.
How much will I get for my console?

How long does the appraisal take?
